CONSCIOUS IMMERSION GHANA
HEALTH · WELLNESS · HEALING
November 8-15, 2026
Ghana is calling — and this time, it's personal. In partnership with the Addae Family Foundation, Conscious Immersion Ghana: Health, Wellness & Healing is a curated 8-day professional and cultural immersion designed for nurses, physicians, healthcare administrators, public health professionals, and wellness leaders who are ready to experience this work from a completely different vantage point. This experience is limited to 15 participants and spots are confirmed on a first-paid basis.
What You Will Carry Home
Conscious Immersion Ghana is designed to produce a specific kind of transformation. Participants do not simply visit Ghana — they encounter it, engage it, and carry it forward. You will leave with:
A clinical lens on history you will never lose. From the Last Bath site in Cape Coast to the Door of No Return at Cape Coast Castle, you will engage with the origins of the health disparities Diasporans are living with today. A facilitated clinical dialogue connects the transatlantic voyage to what the medical literature tells us about cardiovascular health, sickle cell trait, water and salt retention, and the physiological legacy of the Middle Passage. This is not only education, it is transformation.
Deep professional exchange with Ghanaian healthcare peers. Engage with nurses, physicians, hospital administrators, nursing faculty, and traditional healers who are building a health system that serves millions with a fraction of the resources available in the United States. These are peer conversations — not observations. You will leave with relationships and perspective that no CME course can replicate.
A direct act of service you will remember for the rest of your career. Participate in the medical supply handoff — delivering donated supplies to health facilities in Ghana's North Dayi District, including Anfoega Catholic Hospital, a 70-bed mission hospital that has served 90,000 people for over 65 years. Every dollar raised for the Addae Family Foundation's Volta Healthcare Campaign unlocks ten dollars in supplies.
A grounded experience of Ghana's healing traditions. From traditional and herbal medicine practitioners in Accra to a morning wellness hike through the Aburi Botanical Gardens, this immersion honors the full spectrum of what healing means — physical, mental, spiritual, and communal — across cultures and across time.
Cross-border relationships that last. Conscious Immersion cohort members have returned to Ghana, launched partnerships & deepened institutional collaborations long after the trip ends. The relationships built in 8 days can last forever.
